6. Promotion request and approval
Request promotion of a Staging version to production, and have an approver approve it
Required permission: Promote to ProductionAPPROVER · ADMIN ApproveAPPROVER · ADMIN
A model version cannot move from Staging → Production directly; it must always go through approval. Both requesting and approving can be done by the approver or admin role. This page is done with an approver account.
Promotion request
- In the sidebar, open Model Registry (모델 레지스트리) and open the model. Version history (버전 히스토리) ① shows the stage of each version (Staging, Production, Archived). Press Promote to production (프로덕션 승격) ②.
Model detail — ① versions and stages ② Promote to production - Choose the Version to promote (승격 버전) and enter a Reason (사유) (required). Rollback condition (롤백 조건) and Scope (범위) are kept alongside as grounds for the approver's judgement. Press Request promotion (승격 요청).
Production promotion request — version, reason, rollback condition, scope
After you request, a "Promotion request created (승격 요청 생성됨)" notification appears and the tenant members are notified. An "Awaiting approval (승인 대기 중)" indicator appears at the top of the model screen. While a request for the same version is already pending, you cannot request again.
Approval
- Open Approvals (승인) in the sidebar (a badge shows the number pending). Click a request with Needs my decision (내 결정 필요) ① in the My involvement (나와의 관계) column.
Approvals — ① requests waiting for my decision - Under Evidence (근거), check the reason, rollback condition, scope and requester, then press Approvals (승인). Leave a Comment (optional) (코멘트 (선택)) and confirm with Approvals (승인) in the dialog. If you cannot accept it, press Reject (반려) and enter a reason (required).
Approving on the approval detail — the version becomes Production and the previous Production version moves to Archived
Once the required number of approvals is reached, the server
- closes the request as Approved (승인됨),
- changes that version to Production, and moves the previous Production version down to Archived.
- sends notifications to the requester and the tenant.
