Deploy a model to an edge device and roll it back
Deploy a model from the Edge Fleet Models tab, confirm it by the device's report, recover from drift, roll back
Required permission: DeployOPERATOR · ADMIN Roll backADMIN
One device's model is managed on Edge Fleet (Edge Fleet) → device → Model (모델) tab. Deploying needs deploy (operator, admin), rolling back needs rollback (admin).
Deploy
- Open the device in Edge Fleet (Edge Fleet) and choose the Model (모델) tab.
- Press Deploy model (모델 배포). Pick the model name, then the version, and press Deployments (배포).
Deploy model — pick the model name, then the version, from the registry - Wait for the new row in Deployment history (배포 이력) to move through Queued (대기 중) → Delivered (전달됨) → Applied (적용됨) → Confirmed (확인됨). The badge on Deployment status (배포 현황) reads In sync (일치) when done.
A device that is powered off leaves the deployment at Queued; after 24 hours it becomes Failed (실패) with the reason expired. Deploy again once the device is back.
Confirm
The device confirms. The confirmation (확인) field of Deployment status (배포 현황) records when the device's heartbeat first reported the desired model running. If a deployment stays at Applied for long, check the following.

Recover from drift
When someone switches the version on the device itself, or a different version comes up after a restart, the badge turns Drift (불일치). Reapply (다시 적용) deploys the desired model again (kind Reapply (다시 적용)). To keep the version chosen on the device, deploy that version with Switch to this version (이 버전으로 전환) so the desired model matches.
Roll back
- Press Revert (되돌리기) on Deployment status (배포 현황) (admin). The target is the model the device was running when the newest deployment was requested; that deployment's Details (자세히) shows it as previous model (이전 모델).
- Press Revert (되돌리기) in the confirmation. A new deployment of kind Rollback (되돌리기) is created and goes through the same steps.
If the previous model was pruned from the device cache (models.keep_versions, default 2), it is downloaded again. When the newest deployment recorded no previous model (the device was running nothing), there is no rollback button; deploy the version you want with Deploy model (모델 배포).
Tidy the cache
Send a removal command for an unused version on the device disk with the bin icon in Models on the device (장비 보유 모델) (operate). The running version and the desired version cannot be removed. The result appears on the Commands tab.
